Fafner

The Viking Farm is run by the Viking association Fafner.

The association was formed on the 20th of April 1994, taking the name of Fafner. The council is comprised of a leader, a treasurer, a scribe and five members. Council meetings are held ten times per year.

The association is a meeting place for people into history, archaeology, crafts etc.
The Fafner association strives to:

# Promote knowledge and information about the viking period.

# Specific to Årsunda, insure that the ancient remains from the viking time are protected, preserved and made accessible to the general public.

# Develop activities that, in a historically accurate way, connect to the culture of the viking period.

The association is independent and has no political or religious affiliations.

Lectures, courses and cultural entertainment are made possible through the work of the association.
"Gjallarhornet" is a newsletter/magazine distributed to members 2-4 times per year.
