OPENING HOURS SUMMER 2006

This Summer the viking farm is open Wednesdays-Sundays July 5-August 20 at 11.00-16.00.

Each week there is a new theme. During these we focus more on a particular craft and sometimes there will also be craftsmen visiting the farm, demonstrating and selling crafts.

There are many things at the farm you will be able to do or see every day we are open, no matter what the theme is.
Guided tours around the farm, trying blacksmithery, cast a talisman, read runes and more.



Themes:

July 5-9 (w 27): Food

Cooking and serving Viking Age food, spices, herbs etc.

July 12-16 (w 28): Wood
Woodcarvings, making fences and spoons, tools etc.

July 19-23 (w 29): Iron
Blacksmithery, chainmail, roasting bog ore, producing iron.
The iron will be made on Sunday.

July 26-30 (w 30): Clothes
Sewing clothes and shoes, spinning yarn, tablet weaving, dying cloth and more.

August 2-6 (w 31): Hunting
We tell you about hunting, show you different kinds of traps, archery etc.

August 9-13(w 32): Culture
Stories, religion, ceremonies, dances, games and more.


August 16-20 (v 33): Food
Cooking and serving Viking Age food, spices, herbs etc.



Come and experience a living history museum with all your senses! Learn about all sides of the life in the Viking Age. Handicraft, food, games, myths, every day life and festivities and much more.
Please note that during the theme weeks not all crafts might be displayed every day of the week.

Entrance fee: Adults 40 SEK, children under the age of 15: 20 SEK. Children under the age of 6: no fee.
