| During
three weeks in July, the viking farm Årsjögård is crowded
with vikings who will show you and tell you what life is like in the Viking
Age. Each week has its own theme. During this we focus more on a particular craft and sometimes there are craftsmen visiting the farm, demonstrating and selling crafts. There are many things at the farm you will be able to do or see every day we are open. Guided tours around the farm, try viking food, iron forging, cast a talisman, read runes, games, stories and much more. 12.30 every day: Storytelling (in Swedish) 13.30 every day: Fire-making 14.30 every day: Games |

| July
6-10: Traps, animlas, hunting, archery + tar-making We tell you about hunting, show you different kinds of traps etc. There will also be archers at the Viking farm demonstrating archery and letting you try it! Saturday-Sunday 9-10 July: Knifemaker Lars-Ivan Lodin will be at Årsjögård selling his handmade knifes. July 13-17: Textile handicraft This week we domonstrate many different textile techniques such as sewing, spinning yarn, tablet weaving, dying cloth. July 20-24: Food Each day the farm is open during these three weeks we will serve Viking food in the cookhouse. During this week, however, we will focus more on cooking and have a bigger menu with interesting dishes cooked accordingly to old recepies. Sun 24 July: Market/fair The three weeks with living Viking farm this year ends with a little new happening. We will arrange a small market where the craftsmen of the association particapate and sell their goods. |

(Note that the farm is closed Mon-Tue July 25-26) A Viking guide will show you around the farm for about one hour and tell you about the houses, everyday life, myths, runes and much more. Entrance fee: Adults 60 SEK, children under the age of 15: 40 SEK. Children under the age of 6: no fee. |
