School classes

Welcome to the Viking Farm where you can experience our popular school activities!
On this journey over 1000 years back in time to the 10th century we mix theory with practice, handicraft soft and hard, for an interesting and educational day.

You are greeted by the people of the farm and travel more than 1000 years back in time. Everyone will recieve tasks that have to be accomplished in the differet houses at the farm, like textile handicraft or helping out the blacksmith.

Smide
You learn about the life at a Viking farm. You will have a look at, and read, the runestone, listen to sagas and recieve a good luck charm from the Gods to protect you against evil forces. Strength and cunning are measured in Viking games.

Min. 15 people, max. 50 people. Bring your own food.

Price: 220 SEK/person

Note:

Questions and thoughts are a good way to learn more. Contact and communication is important - learning is never a one-way street. But remember that it is the 10th century. The vikings at the farm cannot answer questions about modern things. However, after the day is over, it is interesting to compare the past with the present.

When you visit the Viking Farm, remember that it is a farm at the country side, in the woods. Be sure to wear warm and robust clothes and shoes.
